Message from the Chairman of the Board
In the midst of an economic recession due to the pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has affected Thailand overall economy tremendously, in which the following concerns have already caught our attention - the impact of technology disruption, the change of government's energy policy, the delay of EEC infrastructure investment, the issuance of regulatory measures by the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the organisational attention and investor transparency, the effective measures to prevent corruption, and the ongoing of the short-term, medium-term and long-term competitive markets, DEMCO Business Group has revised the strategic management process and any possible impacts to the business of the existing competitors mentioned above.
The current circumstances have directly affected DEMCO Business Group revenue, our partners and associated business suppliers. In line with the economic situation and to sustain business growth, the Group has immediately adjusted the business operational process; revenue streams, expense reduction, and investment plans including Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
The Board of Directors have taken all issues into consideration, finding a solution for all stakeholders. Furthermore, the Board of Directors have also taken this opportunity to discuss with Advisor to the Board of Directors, Executives and DEMCO employees to develop work management structure (DEMCO: 2020-2022 Year of Organization Development). The adaptation in business model will help finding innovative ideas and new business channels through the existence resources. Reaction time is crucial in times of crisis, hence, unity in DEMCO Business Group from the Board of Directors, Executives and DEMCO employees is important in order to demonstrate good corporate governance, risk management, compliance with the law, profitable and sustainable growth that build investors and stakeholders confidence and trust.
