Message from the Chairman of the Board
Throughout the 28 years that DEMCO Public Company Limited has been adhering to sustainable development. It is a guideline for conducting business on the basis of balanced organization management by considering for the formation of strengthening and sustainable business growth along with the responsibilities that shall be made to the economy, society, environment and related persons under essential good corporate governance. All DEMCO activities must be carried out on the principle of sustainability and focus on sustainable results to create common values for stakeholders, maintain acceptance and confidence of all stakeholders.
With various challenges occurred in 2020, including the spread of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), there have been the trade war between the United States and the People's Republic of China, global warming, PM 2.5 microscopic particles problem and technologies those change quickly caused every sector has to adapt to overcome these crises together. The Board of Directors of DEMCO has appointed the Corporate Sustainability Committee consisting of the Chairman of each sub-committee and set up a Sustainability Development Committee consisting of the Company's management to strengthen compliance processes of driving business towards sustainability at all levels of the organization and to ensure that the implementation of policy direction and business strategies of DEMCO business group framework is integrated and important sustainability issues leading to sustainability operations become the corporate culture of the Company.
Concerning to anti-corruption measures, the Board of Directors is always aware of and understands the context of corruption problem, the impact on business and society as a whole, having an intention to against all forms of corruption (Zero Tolerance) and to focus on participating in the Coalition Against Corruption of the Private Sector (CAC) since 2016 until now and also supports to conduct the best practices for the management in overseeing anti-corruption measures, including having a process to communicate anti-corruption policy and understanding of the corporate's major corruption risks to the executives, employees and various stakeholders continuously.
Eventually, on behalf of DEMCO Public Company Limited, I would like to thank our staff and our stakeholders in every sector who have always supported the Company. We are still concentrated in conducting business under good corporate governance along with creating shared value with stakeholders by considering to social and environmental responsibility and be ready to become an internationally leading innovative and sustainable entrepreneur.
